Be one of the first to get the new White Mystery vinyl album at Reckless Records in Wicker Park, and check out their live in-store performance at 3pm today. And if you're one of the first ten purchases, you'll receive a photobooth strip with the Whites!
White Mystery has also created a window display at Reckless, that is suppose to "make a visual impact that allows light and vision to travel," according to the band, so make sure to check it out the next time you pass the store.

The Empty Bottle presents Rock & Roll Cinema, an ongoing series of free film screenings every Sunday night. Tonight's film is American Hardcore, a documentary about the hardcore scene of the early 1980s. The film screens tonight at 7pm, and admission is free. Empty Bottle: 1035 N. Western Avenue. Hot & Heavy Burlesque presents 'The Sunday Sizzler' tonight, Sunday March 14th at 7 p.m. at the Metal Shaker (3394 N Milwaukee Avenue). For a $10 donation, sample all the heavy metal burlesque you can handle from Viva la Muerte, Cruel Valentine, Natasha Minsk, Barrett All, and more. The Chicago Nerd Social Club presents a Pi(e) Day celebration at Firkin (670 West Diversey). Among the events: a pie contest; a contest to see who can rattle off the most digits of pi; and a one minute basic math test. The event runs from 5pm to 8pm. The Lincoln Park Zoo is hosting a breakfast in the Regenstein Center for African Apes with the assistant curator of primates. After breakfast, diners will view chimpanzees and gorillas during their most active time of day. Breakfast is at 9am, and the visit to the ape house is at 10am; admission is $65 for zoo members and $75 for nonmembers.

Gregory Moss's punkplay, about "two sort of marginal adolescent boys growing up in the suburbs who latch on to punk rock and use it to find an identity outside of the mainstream," is a Pavement Group production, going up as part of Steppenwolf Theatre Company's new Visiting Company Initiative, Garage Rep.
