The Gene Siskel Film Center presents the 1937 classic A Star Is Born, directed by William Wellman and scripted by Dorothy Parker. The film screens tonight as part of the Film Center's series Inside Hollywood and features a discussion by UIC professor Virginia Wright Wexman; see the Film Center Website for a complete schedule. Two Brothers Brewing Co. is celebrating the release of two of their new J-Series ales at Hopleaf (5148 N Clark).
On tap are the new Resistance IPA and Long Haul Session Ale. Both use French Oak Brewing Tanks (called "foudres") to age the ales. Swing by and see if you can taste the difference! Event details are located on the Hopleaf website, found here.
