Short Film Brigade @ Hideout

The Chicago Short Film Brigade's 2010 season kicks off with a pair of premiers tonight at 8:30pm and Sunday at 6pm at The Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia. Cigar Tweetup @ Tesa Cigar

Daniel Honigman and the #cigarchat crew host a Chicago Cigar Tweetup tonight at Tesa Cigar, 464 N. Halsted St., from 6 to 10pm. Tesa Cigars will be running a buy three get one free deal on its own cigars, and complementary Wild Scotsman scotch samples will be served. Free. 21+

Sasha Su-Ling Welland @ SAIC

Sasha Su-Ling Welland is an assistant professor of Anthropology and Women's Studies at the University of Washington. A part of The School of the Art institute of Chicago's Department of Visual and Critical Studies, Welland will cover an ethnographic account of Chinese artist, Li Tianpian. Tiapian, trained in socialist realism explores themes of female representation in her work.

Vaudezilla's 'All Lathered Up' Bartop Burlesque @ Blue Bayou

Chicago's favorite burlesque troupe Vaudezilla is doing their spring cleaning with their newest bar top burlesque show 'All Lathered Up' tonight at the Blue Bayou (3734 N Southport Avenue). Grab your brooms and feather dusters (but leave the polishing to the girls) and belly up to the bar at 10pm sharp. The show is free, hosted by the always unpredictable Wham Bam Pam, and features Red Hot Annie, Bonny Babs, The Flaming Dames, and other fearless broads.
