LA/DC trio Dead Meadow mashes together a psychedelic-folk-rock haze that Rolling Stone calls "ethereal and surprisingly delicate." Currently working on a documentary that captures their epic and bombastic live show, Dead Meadow's return to Chicago offers you the chance to see the magic for yourself. With Imaad Wasif, Black Wyrm Seed. Tickets available online, $10-12. 1035 N. Western Ave.
Artist, Daniel Everett uses technology like video games and the Internet to question everyday life. His exhibit, THE END, opened April 2 at First Fridays in the Museum of Contemporary Art's UBS 12x12 Gallery (220 East Chicago Avenue) for new work and new artists. THE END is a looped video clip accompanied by a photograph of crumpled papers from Everett's journal which tracks the Internet search terms that have led people to his website. At 6pm, Everett will discuss his work, followed by an after party in Puck's Cafe located in museum.
