The Interview Show @ Hideout

Mark Bazer's Interview Show returns to the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia, tonight from 6:30 to 8pm. This month Bazer's guests are chefs Homaro Cantu and Ben Roche, author Jonathan Eig, and human beatbox Yuri Lane. Admission is $5. 21+

Primatologist Jane Goodall presents "Gombe and Beyond: The Next 50 Years", a talk about "he meaning of the past five decades, the extraordinary changes the world has seen since 1960 and the impact those changes have had on people, animals and the environment." A book signing follows the lecture. Tickets - $25 general admission, $10 students - may be purchased daily from 12pm to 6pm at the chapel's front desk, or by calling (773) 702-2100 or (773) 702-7059. Plain Ole Delicious, Pieptone!, Homoticons, & The Revelettes @ Jackhammer

The Flesh Hungry Dog Show is bringing the awesome to the Jackhammer (6406 N. Clark) tonight at 9pm with an all-Chicago show that is sure to get you shimmying. Plain Ole Delicious headlines, supported by Pieptone! and Homoticons. Go-go troupe The Revelettes also performs. Tickets are $8 online or $10 at the door.

Girls Night Out @ Lillstreet Art Center

Girls Night Out is part of Lillstreet Art Center's series of Mother's Day inspired workshops. This workshop is a one-night-only event that will teach women how to use a low-flame torch to make glass beads and have fun bonding and chatting. The workshop is from 6:30-9:30pm at Lillstreet Art Center (4401 North Ravenswood Avenue). $60 for members and $65 for non-members.

Starting Today Reading @ The Book Cellar

Listen to a reading from the anthology Starting Today: 100 Poems For Obama's First 100 Days at The Book Cellar (4736 N Lincoln Ave) starting at 7pm. Reading their work from the anthology will be Tony Trigilio, Josh Corey, Chris Green, John Beer, John Gallaher, Patrick Culliton, and Cin Salach.
