International Summer Screenings Program @ Chicago Cultural Center

Pub Quiz Against Poverty @ Burwood Tap

The Heartland Alliance is holding a pub quiz this evening at The Burwood Tap (724 W. Wrightwood) to raise funds for their From Poverty to Opportunity Campaign to work towards ending poverty in Illinois. The quiz happens this evening from 6 to 9pm, and the event also includes a raffle to win some great prizes. Rock for Kids' Poster Artist Interviews w/ Jay Ryan

If you've ever wanted to know more about your favorite show posters, tune in today at 1pm at the Rock for Kids' website to pose questions to rock poster artists. The nonprofit's new interview series launches this week with Jay Ryan of the Bird Machine. The series continues Friday, June 4th with Strawberry Luna and Hero Design Studio (1pm) and Geoff Peveto of the Decoder Ring on Wednesday, June 9th (1pm). Clay Hayes from will be interviewing the artists, and fans can ask their own questions via text and webcam. During the interviews, Rock for Kids will launch some online auctions of some out-of-print and band-signed posters.
