The Wild Bunch @ Film Center

The Gene Siskel Film Center continues a Quentin Tarantino film retrospective this evening with a screening of one of the many films that inspired Tarantino's work, Sam Peckinpah's The Wild Bunch. Creation Station: Flat to Form @ MCA

Creation Station: Flat to Form opens today, visitors can sculpt and play with forms, materials, and ideas to make their own art at the MCA Creation Stations, 220 East Chicago Ave. During the day, visitors can feed their inspiration with the colors of the Farmer's Market, and during the evening, create art to the rhythms of jazz. The theme of the season's second creation station is "flat to form". Farmer's Market Creation Station is from 11am to 2pm, and Jazz on the Terrace Creation Stations is from 5pm to 8pm.

Club Nutz @ MCA

Running through the 11th, Club Nutz performs Here/Not There with Scott Reeder, Tyson Reeder and Elysia Borowy at the MCA, 220 East Chicago Ave. Here / Not There asks how participatory actions within structured events can encourage a collective act of creation. The viewer, rather than the artist, is the focus as guests are encouraged to participate in performing and creating works. $12 for general admission, $7 students and seniors, free for MCA members, children under 12, and members of the military; Tuesdays are free.

Maggie Brown @ MCA's Tuesday on the Terrace

Every Tuesday during the summer the Museum of Contemporary Art presents free live jazz concerts from some of the city's most legendary and innovative musicians. Tonight's performance features Maggie Brown. Grab some friends and a blanket for a relaxing evening on the garden lawn, or make a night of it with a reservation at Puck's. Snacks and beverages, including wine and seasonal cocktails are available for purchase. 5:30-8pm. 220 E. Chicago Ave. Free.

Grant Park Chorus @ Harris Theater

The Grant Park Chorus performs tonight as part of the Grant Park Music Festival. Tonight they turn their attention to the sensuous world of French music with works by Poulenc, Debussy, and Messiaen with an a acappella performance. 6:30pm. Harris Theater for Music and Dance. Free.
