Please join us at 5:00pm at Art + Vision Gallery, 208 S. Wabash Ave for the Chicago Loop Alliance's Pop-Up Art Galleries First Thursdays Gallery Walk. The Pop-Up Art Loop Gallery Walk is a free, self-guided tour of the many new art venues throughout the Loop neighborhood. This exhibition features a merging of work by Kate Friedman who employs the use of dualities to converge to create layered paintings and Angela Garbot who presents her her travel photography series entitled Travel Collections: Destinations.
The Neo-Futurists present their 9th annual series of live film script readings, It Came From The Neo-Futurarium IX: The Perils of the Neo-Futurarium! Tonight's concluding performance of the festival is a staged reading of My Little Pony: The Movie, directed by Film Fest creator Rachel Claff. The film festival runs Thursday nights at 8pm through August 5. Tickets are $10, $8 for students with ID and repeat customers. A full schedule and tickets are available at the Neo-Futurists' Website. Before heading over to Grant Park, Devo and Dirty Projectors kick off Lolla weekend right at The Congress Thursday night. Catch both acts so you can free up your schedule during Lolla. But mainly check out the show because Devo rocks.

The Gene Siskel Film Center continues its Quentin Tarantino retrospective with a screening of Once Upon A Time In Mexico, directed by Tarantino's friend Robert Rodriguez. Next weekend, the air fills with majestic Blue Angels aerobatics as the 52nd annual Chicago Air and Water Show comes to the lakefront. Learn more about the history of the show this tonight when aviation buffs Gerry and Janet Souter visit the downtown Barnes and Noble to discuss their book The Chicago Air and Water Show: A History of Wings Above the Waves. This month's walk features five pop-up gallery spaces with work from more than 10 Chicago artists spanning from sculpture to photography and works on paper. Pop-Up Art Loop, an initiative of the Chicago Loop Alliance, is working to bring art to unexpected places and the association with the Chicago Artists' Coalition and their 1800+ artist members enables this program to help artists gain exposure, while enhancing the cultural experience of visitors to the Loop. Today's gallery walk will include five spaces: 23 E. Madison Ave, 29 E. Madison Ave, 208 S.

Fresh is a film that brings a little sunshine to the growing food movement.  Director Sofia Joanes explores the rebel industry of pesticide and hormone free farms that seek to create a food product that is good for us, the environment, and the plants and animals that provide it.  
Screening starts at 8:45 pm.  Tickets are $10 general admission, $7 for regular students, $4 for SAIC students, and $5 Film Center members.  Tickets can be purchased through the Film Center's box office or their website.
The Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP), concludes its annual festival of American tap dance and contemporary percussive arts with the three performances at the  Museum of Contemporary Art MCA Stage (220 E. Chicago Ave.). "JUBA! Masters of Tap and Percussive Dance" begins at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $30 for non-Rhythm World participants, and may be purchased
