Put (Free) Chocolate in The Poison Cup @ Vosges

Vosges Haut-Chocolat and The Poison Cup are teaming up for a free chocolate and wine pairing event tonight. From 5 to 7 p.m. at Vosges' 951 W. Armitage outpost, you can sample four different pairings, ranging from Vouvray and curry truffles to malbec and caramels. After the tasting, walk a couple blocks to The Poison Cup, 1128 W. Armitage, where you can score a 15% discount on the evening's featured wines.

Veggie Bingo @ Hideout

The fine folks who brought you the weekly fundraiser soup-eating slurp-a-thon Soup and Bread (along with NeighborSpace) have taken their interests to a new activity...bingo. Veggie Bingo runs every Wednesday at the Hideout (1354 W. Wabansia). Event begins at 6pm; cards are $1 each, or 6 for $5. Proceeds benefit Chicago community gardens. Event runs weekly through September 29.

Haymarket Riot @ Beat Kitchen

Chicago punk act Haymarket Riot is coming back to the city for a show at the Beat Kitchen. Supporting Haymarket Riot are Rapid Cities, mOck, and A Tundra. Doors at 8 pm, show starts at 8:30. Tickets are $8 and the show is 21+.

Grant Park Orchestra with Toumani Diabaté @ Millennium Park

Tonight the the Grant Park Music Festival welcomes world-renowned kora (a West African harp) player Toumani Diabaté from Mali and his ensemble join the Grant Park Orchestra to perform an adaption of his recent album, The Mande Variations and other works. 6:30pm. Pritzker Pavilion. Free.
