King Khan and the Shrines @ Bottom Lounge

The Nuggets garage guitars, blaring Muscle Shoals horns, and James Brown howls of King Khan and the Shrines would be smarmily over the top if they didn't put so much damn sincere sweat into it. With four records under their belts and a Vice Records compilation that thrust them into the hipster spotlight, King Khan and the gang will drawn lots of onlookers, but should win them as fans at the end of the night with their electric (and go-go-dancer-assisted) live show. Ages 17 and up, $16, doors at 10.
