Too Much Light Anniversary Performances @ Neo-Futurarium

The Neo-Futurists present a celebration of 22 years of performing their long-running late night show Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind by performing a selection of their best plays this weekend. If you can't make it this weekend, there will be another round of best-of shows December 17-19. Please see the Neo-Futurists' Website for more details. Neo-Futurarium: 5153 N. Ashland at Foster. (773) 275 5255.

Reply All

Head to the Evil Olive tonight (1551 W. Division St.) for Reply All -- put on by Merge, a small group of community-minded AIGA Chicago members, it's "like a conference after-party without the long day of conferencing." 7pm-4am.

The Daley Show @ Chicago Urban Art Society

The Chicago Urban Art Society, 2229 S. Halsted St., hosts the opening of "The Daley Show" an art tribute to our retiring mayor, tonight starting at 6pm. Free.

ACRE Winter Benefit Country in the City (aka ACRE County Fair) @ Heaven Gallery

Join the rest of the art school elite and bohemian set this Friday for ACRE's Winter Benefit at Heaven Gallery. ACRE needs your support to continue to provide resources for and programming by emerging artists from Chicago and beyond. Hang out with some sheep and chicks in the Petting Zoo! Deck yourself in plaid and grab a corn cob pipe for the photo booth! Sip some home-made hard cider from our new ACRE mugs! Sign up for the cake eating contest with a spin, led by Industry of the Ordinary. Try your luck on our prize wheel! Get some great deals on art by local and national contemporary artists at the art auction and sale.

Keep that warm feeling going and join us for an after-party a few doors down at The Crocodile (1540 N Milwaukee Ave) featuring DJs and dancing, starting at 11pm. Heaven Gallery is located at 1550 N Milwaukee Ave. on the second floor. Admission is $20 ($10 for students) suggested donation, and includes 3 raffle tickets. More details here.

Badly Drawn Boy @ Lincoln Hall

British singer/songwriter Damon Gough, who goes by Badly Drawn Boy, is the type of multi-instrumentalist who lives to make music. He's released a slew of pop albums, including the recent It's What I'm Thinking Pt.1 - Photographing Snowflakes, and his live shows would outlast the patience of casual fans if he weren't so engaging. When he last played Chicago, his set was cut short by a curfew of which he appeared unaware. He might make up for that at Lincoln Hall. Justin Jones opens at 9pm. The show's 21+ and admission is $25. Lincoln Hall's at 2424 N Lincoln.
