The Neo-Futurists present a celebration of 22 years of performing their long-running late night show Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind by performing a selection of their best plays this weekend. Current and alumni members will be in the show this weekend, so this will be your chance to see some of the best material that's been written over the years. The Mayfair Academy of Fine Arts presents Jesus is the Reason, a dance performance to celebrate the spirit of the holiday season. Join the bluegrass connoisseurs the Punch Brothers as they celebrate their recent Grammy nominations. This is the second of a two-night run at Lincoln Hall this weekend. The Punch Brothers came into being when vocalist/mandolin player Chris Thile's former band, Nickel Creek, announced an indefinite hiatus. The PB's have since released two albums: Punch in 2008 and this year's cirtiically acclaimed Antifogmatic. Tonight's show is all ages and tickets are $22 in advance, $25 at the door. The Punch Brothers go on at 7pm. Lincoln Hall is at 2424 N Lincoln.
Did you miss The Second City founder Bernard Sahlins directing The Misanthrope in October? Don't despair, he's directing again! This time it's a staged reading of Dylan Thomas's Under Milk Wood (the radio play written by Thomas just a month before his death). Presented by Poetry Foundation at Victory Gardens Richard Christiansen Theater (2433 N. Lincoln), there will be two performances: tonight and tomorrow night, both at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 ($5 for students) and can be purchased here.

Vintage Heaven at Heaven Gallery continues its once-a-month collective vintage sales with this holiday-themed celebration featuring carefully curated pieces from local sellers such as Jenstyle Chic Vintage, Venus Meets Vintage, and Lovestory Vintage.
