Too Much Light Anniversary Performances @ Neo-Futurarium

The Neo-Futurists present a celebration of 22 years of performing their long-running late night show Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind by performing a selection of their best plays this weekend. Current and alumni members will be in the show this weekend, so this will be your chance to see some of the best material that's been written over the years. Songs of Good Cheer @ Old Town School of Folk Music

The Old Town School of Folk Music presents their 12th year of Songs of Good Cheer, the annual benefit for the school and local charities. Chicago Tribune columnists Mary Schmich and Eric Zorn are your hosts for an evening of holiday songs performed by school staff. The show starts at 5pm tonight, and tickets are $40. Orange Alert Reading Series @ The Whistler

Have Yourself a Very Whiskey Christmas @ Cooking Foods

Let your heart be light: hit up this two-hour whiskey class at Cooking Fools, 1916 W. North Avenue. Led by mixologist Angie Jackson, the two-hour session will feature the city's own Koval Lion's Pride Organic Dark Rye Whiskey, Koval Rye Chicago (which is organic and kosher), New Hampshire's Cabin Fever Maple Whiskey, Pendleton Canadian Whiskey from Oregon, and Rowan's Creek Bourbon Whiskey from Kentucky.

Chicago Riots Expo Bout @ Fleetwood Roller Rink

The Chicago Riots, our fair city's one and only junior roller derby league, are holding an exposition bout tonight at the Fleetwood Roller Rink (7231 Archer Ave. in Summit). The bout starts at 5pm and tickets are $5 at the door.
