John Greenfield @ Boulevard Bikes
Occasional GB contributor John Greenfield does a free in-store performance and holiday party at Boulevard Bikes, 2535 N. Kedzie Ave., tonight from 6 to 8pm. Greenfield will perform Hanukkah, Christmas, Diwali and Ramadan tunes, as well as songs about Illinois history. The holiday party will also be an opportunity to do a little last-minute local-made shopping, with items like bike caps by Kozie Prery and Floyd Boberg, bags by Po Campo, and Greenfield's own book, Bars Across America: Drinking and Biking from Coast to Coast.
Windy C @ Maria's Packaged Goods & Community Bar
DJs Mass Transit, Sig & Winston and special guest King Hippo spin "music you haven't heard yet" tonight at Maria's Packaged Goods & Community Bar (960 W 31st Street). The collective promise everything from the dirtiest horns in funk and jazz-funk to the most psychedelic drums ever programmed in hip hop and down tempo. They'll even venture into prog rock from around the world and of course, a whole lot of soul. 9pm until 2am. 21 and up.

DJs Brian Foote, Bob and Brian Kelly host Tannenbaum tonight at Rodan (1530 N. Milwaukee Ave). The former board members of PLAY—the audiophile weekly at Danny's—reunite to bring extraordinary music and Yuletide cheer to the Chicago electro set. 9pm - 2am. 21+. 1530 North Milwaukee Avenue.
