Winter Bike to Work Day
Chicago's Active Transportation Alliance hosts Winter Bike to Work day at Daley Plaza (118 N. Clark) from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Free coffee and cheesecake to all bike commuters!
Chicago Jazz Ensemble
The Chicago Jazz Ensemble presents "The Great Summit: The Music of Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington" tonight at 7:30pm at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance, 205 E. Randolph St. Joined by Jon Faddis as special guest conductor and performer, the CJE celebrates its roots with a concert honoring jazz giants Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington. Tickets are $15 to $45, with discounts for senior citizens and groups. Student tickets are $5. Tickets can be purchased at 312-334-7777, at the Harris Theater box office or online.
Marshall Crenshaw @ Lincoln Hall
Possessing a penchant for the theatrical, Marshall Crenshaw will be playing at Lincoln Hall tonight at 8pm. Often compared to, and once having portrayed Buddy Holly in the 1980's film "La Bamba," Crenshaw brings a steady, guitar mastery to the stage.
