Chicago Mayoral Candidates Forum on LGBT Issues

A coalition of Chicago-area LGBTQ organizations host a Chicago Mayoral Candidates Forum tonight on LGBT issues at the Adler School of Professional Psychology, 17 N. Dearborn St., at 6pm. Gery Chico, Rahm Emanuel, Carol Moseley-Braun, Miguel del Valle, William Walls, and Patricia Van Pelt-Watkins will speak directly to the LGBTQ community and to educate voters as to their vision of the office of the Mayor of Chicago with a focus on issues directly impacting LGBTQ people. Tracy Baim, publisher and executive editor at Windy City Media Group, moderates. The event is at capacity, but Windy City Times and Radio Arte will stream it live.

Elizabeth's Crazy Little Thing @ Phyllis' Musical Inn

Elizabeth's Crazy Little Thing brings poetry, music, comedy, performance art, "and whatever you can come up with" to Phyllis' Musical Inn the second Wednesday of every month. This months' feature is Kate Cullan (The Demented Kewpie Doll Manifesto), a fixture in the Chicago performance community for ten years. This month's theme is Love Sucks. Phyllis' Musical Inn, 1800 West Division Street, 10pm. Phyllis' is near the Division Blue Line stop and the #70 Division, #9 Ashland, and #50 Damen bus stops.

Soup and Bread @ The Hideout

Get your slurp on at this weekly fundraiser for area food-related charities tonight at the Hideout, 1354 West Wabansia, from 5:30-7:30pm. A volunteer team of chefs and bakers donate the soup and bread; you donate the money.
