Bicycle Film Festival @ Viaduct Theater

The Bicycle Film Festival presents an evening films about cycling in two programs tonight at the Viaduct Theater, 3111 N. Western Ave. At 7pm, see The Birth of Big Air and several shorts; at 9pm, see Empire and a different set of shorts. An afterparty follows at 10pm, featuring BFF goldsprints and DJ ZBLN. IKC Dog Show @ McCormick Place

Chicago hosts the 2011 International Cluster of Dog Shows, an annual event organized by the International Kennel Club. One of the largest all-breed benched dog shows in the country, the shows take over McCormick Place North Building, 2301 S. Lake Shore Dr., today, Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 5pm. See more than 10,000 dogs from 167 breeds compete to be Best in Show, and explore a trade show floor full of dog products. Psycho @ Film Center

The Gene Siskel Film Center continues their series of psychological horror films with the classic 1960 Alfred Hitchcock film Psycho, about which very little should be said if you are not familiar with the story. People's Music School 35th Anniversary Gala

The People's Music School, an Uptown-based organization providing free music education to inner-city children, celebrates its 35th anniversary with a gala event in the Chicago Cultural Center's Preston Bradley Hall, 78 E. Washington St., tonight from 6pm to 11pm. The evening includes dinner and cocktails, a performance by violinist Rachel Barton Pine and the school's students and alumni, and a silent auction to benefit the school. Tickets are $150.

Bingo Night Fundraiser for Chicago Zine Fest @ Beauty Bar

Come by the Beauty Bar, 1444 W Chicago Ave, to join the folks of the Chicago Zine Fest for a night of bingo, prizes, music, and drinks as they celebrate one more month until zine fest! The opening reception for Slowly happens tonight at The COOP, 845 W. Fulton Market, #201. Featuring paintings by Chicago artist and designer, Andy Luce, Slowly is Luce's first solo show. 7pm to 10pm.
