Facets Night School: Mulholland Drive

Facets Cinematheque continues its Facets Night School series tonight with a screening of David Lynch's Mulholland Drive, accompanied by a lecture/discussion by Facets' own Lauren Whalen. The film screens tonight at midnight; see the Facets Website for a complete schedule of films in this current Night School session. Facets: 1517 W. Fullerton. 826CHI Prom @ Pulaski Park Fieldhouse

Tonight is 826CHI's annual prom fundraiser. This year's theme is Keep Promme and Carry On. The dress is second-hand formal and/or dress as a person, landmark or theme from England. Tickets include open beer bar, snacks, performance by Rod Stewart impersonator Steve Bobbitt (wow, he's a dead ringer), silent auction, music and dancing. Must be 21+, tickets are $40 in advance, $50 at the door. All proceeds go to 826CHI, which tutors students aged 6 to 18 in creative and expository writing skills. Chiditarod

If you can't participate, at least show up for the kickoff at noon today of Chiditarod, a grocery cart-based race that is a food drive, pub crawl, and opportunity for people to look all crazy. Event starts at Hubbard and Wolcott.

Winter Wingding @ Martyrs'

The 7th annual Winter Wingding benefiting the Leukemia Research Foundation is tonight at Martyrs', 3855 N. Lincoln Ave., featuring performances by 8 Inch Betsy, The Locals, The Polkaholics, The Commodes, Deep End and the Pat DiNizio Band. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are $10, available in advance online or by calling 773-404-9494. 21+

Chicago Mixtape Launch Party

Chicago Mixtape holds a launch party tonight at the Subterranean, 2011 W. North Ave., tonight at 9pm. Jonny Rumble, Jitney, Ornery Little Darlings and John Sullivan perform -- plus Rachel Ries, Jason Frederick and Andy Wagner. Tickets are $8 in advance or at the door. 21+

Chicago Flower & Garden Show

The Chicago Flower & Garden Show runs March 5-13 at Navy Pier. Check out landscaping displays and tabletop arrangements, learn about new products and techniques, and enjoy a bit of greenery in still-dreary March. Hours are 10am to 8pm Monday through Saturday, 10am to 6pm Sunday. Tickets are $15 weekdays, $17 weekends for adults, $5 for kids all the time. Monday through Thursday, there's a $13 after work special from 4 to 8pm.
