Mar(t)ch Madness Art Tournament @ Fulton St. Collective

Mar(t)ch Madness is an art show and event conceived in the spirit of a certain famous collegiate basketball tournament, organized by Lion vs. Gorilla. The show will begin with artwork from 16 established and emerging artists. Over the course of four bracketed rounds, viewers will vote to narrow down the playing field to their two favorite artists, and those artists will then compete for the championship trophy. Artists can (and will!) do whatever they can to court votes from audience members, to increase their odds of victory. There will be a half-time show, featuring Chicago's own cheerleading team, The Chicago Spirit Brigade. After the crowning of the Mar(t)ch Madness Tournament champion, there will be a tailgate reception, with refreshments and live music by Ludus Lovestyle. This is going to be a high-energy, fun event, and it is an opportunity for members of Chicago's arts community to come together and celebrate some of the amazing work being produced in this city. This event begins tonight at 8pm tonight at the Fulton Street Collective: 2000 W. Fulton. $5 suggested donation. Part of the proceeds will go to The Howard Brown Health Center.
