Memorial Day Parade

Perhaps this is Mayor Rahm's first time to pull on a weird sash and walk the parade route! Parade starts at noon at State and Lake.

Belmont-Sheffield Music Festival

The Belmont-Sheffield Music Festival takes over Sheffield Avenue from Belmont to School this weekend, with live music, food and vendors from noon to 10pm. $5 donation requested. Here's today's schedule:

Radian @ Hideout

Radian, a 3-piece post-rock/electronic trio from Vienna, make a rare Chicago appearance tonight at The Hideout (1354 W Wabansia). Also appearing will be David Daniell (ex-St. Augustin) and Cleared. 9 p.m., $12. More in Transmission.

"Reggae In Wrigleyville" @ Cubby Bear

In attempts to fill the void left by the closure of the legendary Wild Hare reggae nightclub, Cubby Bear has announced a new "Reggae In Wrigleyville" series. The series kicks off tonight with dancehall artists Red Rat and locals KOFI and DJ Slacky J. The music starts at 9pm and it's 21+. Tickets are $10 in advance at the Cubby Bear box office and $20 the day of the show.
