The Beauty Bar hosts a Wet Hot American Beach Party tonight from 9pm to 2am as a benefit for Rock for Kids. The Beauty Bar's dance floor will transform into a beach, while Greg Corner and members of Empires and My Gold Mask DJ. $5 vodka cocktails will be served up all night and with each purchase a donation will be made to Rock For Kids. Tonight, the Harold Washington Cultural Center, 4701 S. King Dr., presents "Fashion Loves Music," hosted by model and actress Eva Marcille ("America's Next Top Model") and actor Pooch Hall from BET's "The Game." The event is a mix of music and fashion, with a runway show featuring fashion from local Chicago designers and boutiques, accompanied by live performances from various musical genres including jazz, rock, hip-hop and R&B. Fitzgerald's, 6615 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Berwyn, hosts the 31st annual American Music Festival July 1-3, with music on three stages. Doors open at 4:30pm today; tonight's lineup includes Roddy Romero & The Hub City Allstars, the Harrison Street Ukulele Players, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Marcia Ball among many others. Admission is $30 each day, with an early bird discount of $5 off for the first hour each day. Children 12 and under are welcomed until 9pm for $5 each.
