Green City Market Cooking Class
Join Chef Kendal Duque at the South Loop's Chicago Firehouse Restaurant for a demonstration on how to prepare a three-course meal using fresh ingredients purchased at Green City Market. Participants will also receive recipe cards to take home as well as a "restaurant industry discount" at the Green Acres and Seedling Farm stands at GCM the following Saturday. As a platform for new storytellers, Story Lab stands apart from other series in the city in its accessibility and unmitigated audience support for the performers. Who knows, next month it could be you standing up there in front of a live audience! Join Story Lab for an intimate evening of storytelling in the cozy back room of one of Chicago's best pubs, the Black Rock (3614 N. Damen). Each month, an entirely different lineup of up-and-coming storytellers share their freshest pieces. Taste of Andersonville Dinner Crawl
The Taste of Andersonville Dinner Crawl runs tonight from 6pm to 9pm. Starting from the Swedish American Museum, diners have a choice of two crawl routes: "Salt" is vegetarian friendly, while "Pepper" adds meat. Each includes stops at 11 restaurants and cost $25 in advance or $30 day-of -- or you can do both routes for $40 in advance or $50 day-of.
