D. Wade's Chicago Has Talent @ Chicago Theater

Tonight at the Chicago Theater, 175 N. State St., watch talented hopefuls compete at the third annual "D. Wade's Chicago Has Talent," a competition that gives Chicago youth, ages 7-18, a chance to show off their talent for NBA superstar Dwyane Wade and some of his celebrity friends, who will crown one lucky act as the winner. The showcase, hosted by Chicago comedian Lil Rel and television personality Rocsi (BET's "106th & Park") also features performances by rapper Diggy Simmons, ("Run's House"), and local Chicago group, Kids These Days. Fork and the Road Tours: Mediterranean Cruise

Meet at Intelligensia Coffee in the Loop (53 E Randolph) today at 11am for a bike-guided trip that will touch on Italian, Greek and Middle Eastern fare at several restaurants around the city. Tour led by Fork and the Road; tickets $60. Event ends at 4:30pm.

Summer Sessions on the Square

Summer Sessions on the Square rocks on tonight from 5:30-8:30pm at the Logan Monument (at Logan, Milwaukee and Kedzie), with Golden Horse Ranch Band at the helm.

Food Truck Social

Time Out Chicago presents a Food Truck Social. Your favorite food trucks will be on display in this eat, drink and listen event (music lineup booked by the Empty Bottle); featuring such stand-out Chicago eateries and chefs as Bill Kim of Urbanbelly (Noon-2pm), Michael Carlson of Schwa (2:30pm-4:30pm), Justin Large of Big Star (5pm-7pm), and Stephanie Izard of Girl & the Goat (7:30pm-9:30pm), just to name a few. So stop by and get your favorite street food fare all in one place, without having to chase down the trucks. Noon-10pm at 700 N Ashland Ave, $5 suggested donation.

Chicago Heritage Craft Brewfest

The Irish American Cultural Center, 4626 N. Knox Ave., hosts its first annual Chicago Heritage Craft Brewfest in the center's Fifth Province Pub from noon to 7pm tonight. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, for which get you tastes of more than 25 beers, including several local breweries and, of course, Guinness. The tasting runs till 4pm, after which it's a cash bar until 7pm, with live music by Machine Gun Mojo and LTD. 21+

Pastry Crawl

Who needs a pub crawl when you can go on a pastry crawl?! Seriously now. Join Pastry Chef Patrick Fahy of Cafe des Architectes at the Sofitel Water Tower Place for a tour of his pastry kitchen. The tour will be followed by a dessert demonstration and a tasting of several of Chef Fahy's confections. Each guest will leave with a goodie bag of delicious edible souvenirs upon departure. Tour/demo runs from 12pm-2pm. Tickets are $45 per person. The Sofitel Water Tower Place is located at 20 E Chestnut St.

Braid @ Metro

Emo pioneers Braid have reunited and headline tonight at the Metro, 3730 N. Clark St. All Eyes West and Fire open. Tickets are $16 in advance, $17 at the door. Doors open at 8pm. 18+
