The Chicago Architecture Foundation hosts Open House Chicago, a two-day, citywide tour of more than 100 architecturally significant places. Go behind the scenes at the Garfield Park Conservatory, explore the basement at the Cultural Center, tour Patel Brothers grocery, or check out the Little Black Pearl Arts Center, among many others. All of it is free; create your own itinerary online. All locations are open from 9am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday unless otherwise noted.
Paul Kahan and crew host chefs from other stellar U.S. restaurants (Town House of Chilhowie, VA; Red Medicine of Beverly Hills, CA; and McCrady's and Husk of Charleston, SC) tonight for a benefit dinner event for the James Beard Foundation at Blackbird, 619 W Randolph, at 5pm. Admission $175 for JBF members, $200 for everyone else.
The Chicago Comedy Film Festival concludes with a special screening of Bandicoot, Mick Napier's newest feature film, and selected shorts at the Annoyance Theater, 4830 N. Broadway, tonight at 7pm. Live music, a performance by Jeff and Junebug from the Midnight Circus, doga (dog yoga) seminars, and fun for kids is part of Day of the Dog, a festival benefiting Found Chicago. Admission $5 (suggested); event runs 11am-4pm at Stay, 4130 North Rockwell.

Lycée Francais, Chicago's most adorable Madeline-esque elementary school is hosting a fall festival of sorts, complete with vendors selling jewelery, accessories, clothing, home decor and more. Don your beret, check out cooking demos by Chicago's finest french chefs and take a break at the French Bistro with nicoise salad, beef bourguignon and un peu de fromage.
All events take place at the Lycée Francais de Chicago, 615 W. Bittersweet Place (entrance on Irving Park Road and Marine Drive). The market runs today from 11am-4pm. Adult admission is $5, with free admission for children.
