The 18th annual SOFA Chicago and the Intuit Show of Folk & Outsider Art occur side by side in Navy Pier's Festival Hall Friday through Sunday, Nov. 4-6. View sculptures, objects and functional art from galleries around the world, as well as outsider art from a number of galleries and dealers. The exhibitions will be open from 11am to 7pm today. Tickets are $15 per day or $25 for a three-day pass, available online or at the door.
America: Now and Here, a national project connecting artists and social issues, has its first Chicago event. Artists and expert presenters include Dawoud Bey, Kathy Dickhut, Dorothy Dunn, Indira Johnson, Lisa Yun Lee and Jason Reblando. First Ward Alderman Proco Joe Moreno will be at Quencher's>, 2401 N. Western Ave., tonight at 6pm for live band punk rock karaoke. The alderman will lead a punk singalong at 7pm, followed by open karaoke at 8pm. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Proceeds benefit Friends of Goethe Elementary. 21+
The Bicycle Film Festival returns to Chicago this weekend, kicking off with a bike ride at 5:45pm from the corner of Division and Campbell to the Logan Square Auditorium, 2539 N. Kedzie Blvd., where the films Racing Towards Red Hookand Bill Cunningham New York will screen starting at 7pm. A goldsprints party hosted by Johnny Sprockets and New Belgium Beer starts at 11pm. Tickets to each film are $10, or get a three-day festival pass for $25. Details here.

This month host Mark Bazer talks with pro wrestler Colt Cabana, singer-songwriter Tony Rogers and the editors of Chicago Home magazine.
