David David Katzman's A Greater Monster is a multimedia experience, with illustrations playing no small part. Caitlin McKay was responsible for more than a few of those illustrations. See and hear them bring it even more to life at 7pm, 1854 W. North Avenue. Free!

Slack Key Guitar & Ukulele Workshop @ Old Town School of Folk Music

The Old Town School of Folk Music presents an evening workshop in conjunction with the Jeff Peterson concert happening this week. OTS instructor Lanialoha Lee offers a workshop in slack key guitar, ukulele and Hawaiian steel guitar. Side Mullet Nation @ Ontourage Night Club

Cameron Esposito's one-woman show, Side Mullet Nation, is running through December 15th at Ontourage Night Club (157 W Ontario). Thursdays, 8pm, tickets are $10 each with no drink minimum. 21+. ID required.

Tune-yards @ Lincoln Hall

Musical mad scientists Tune-yards play a 21+ show tonight at Lincoln Hall (2424 N. Lincoln Ave). Pat Jordache opens, and the whole thing kicks off at 7 p.m.

Bacon and Whiskey Tasting

Everyone loves bacon, so why not add some whiskey to the mix as well? The Irish Oak, 3511 N. Clark St., will be hosting bacon and whiskey tastings tonight beginning at 7:30pm, where connoisseurs of both can come mingle and taste the mouthwatering pairings. Powerless Comic Art Opening @ I Am Logan Square

Villains beware... I Am Logan Square is transforming into a comic book gallery! The opening reception is tonight from 6 to 8:30pm at I Am Logan Square's Gallery, located at 2644 N.
