Nelson Sosa "Farewell to Chicago" @ Old Town School of Folk Music

The Old Town School of Folk Music presents an evening concert by Chilean guitarist Nelson Sosa, who is returning to Chile after spending 30 years in Chicago. Story Lab @ Black Rock

Story Lab also stands apart from other series in the city in its accessibility and unmitigated audience support for the performers. Join storytellers and story lovers at the Black Rock (3614 N. Damen) where each month, an entirely different lineup of up-and-coming storytellers share their freshest pieces. This month's readers include: Kevin Dolan, Noah GInex, Jessie Mutz, Patricia Savieo, Natasha Tsoutsouris, and J. Weintraub. Hosted by Scott Whitehair of the reading series This Much is True. Appropriating Art: Art Theft Unveiled @ Chicago Artist's Coalition

This event exposes the depths of the art world rarely discussed: forgery, fraud, and theft. The evening will begin with a presentation and discussion with former FBI agent and art security consultant Robert Spiel. Following this discussion will be a screening of the Don Argott documentary The Art of the Steal, exploring the controversy behind the theft of pieces from the Barnes Collection (Philadelphia). ICE presents "Chimers" @ MoCP

The International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) presents another installment of its ICElab series tonight at 7:30 at the Museum of Contemporary Photography (600 S. Michigan Avenue). The ensemble perform Phyllis Chen's Chimers (2011), for flute, clarinet, toy piano, toy instruments, video, and electronics. Tickets are free, but going fast.
