Shock Theater Horror Double Feature
Shock Theater from the Cinema Dementia Collection screens at the Wicker Park Arts Center, 2215 W. North Ave., tonight at 9pm with Lady Frankenstein and Frankenstein's Daughter. $5 admission, with "cheap concessions and free burial if you die of fright." More about the film series here.
Lincoln Square Christkindl Market
The Lincoln Square Christkindl Market runs Friday through Sunday, Dec. 2-4. In addition to the big tent featuring Christmas arts and crafts, live music and caroling, and German food and drinks, a free trolley will take you to a dozen other neighborhood destinations. The market is open today from noon to 10pm. Free.
vitaminwater Winter Escape
Do312 and vitaminwater present "Winter Escape," a concert event at the Hard Rock Hotel's Fender Ballroom, 230 N. Michigan Ave. Enjoy performances by Smith Westerns, Franki Chan, Black Light Saints, Windy City Soul Club, and Kirby Kaiser. The RedEye's Ernest Wilkins hosts. The Interview Show @ Hideout
Mark Bazer's Interview Show is tonight at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., from 6:30pm to 8pm. This month's show features Jim Coudal, author Alex Shakar, Numero Group's Rob Sevier and musical guest White Mystery. The mayor will be speaking at 12 noon today in the Illinois Room, located on the third floor of Student Center East at UIC, 750 S. Halsted St., as part of the school's "Future of Chicago" lecture series. Event is free and open to the public. UPDATE: Mayor Emanuel has canceled; Chief Technology Officer John Tolva will be speaking in his place.

Rock For Kids 23rd Annual Rock n' Roll Benefit Auction @ Park West
Rock for Kids is a nearly quarter-century old Chicago charity which provides music programming to at-risk youth in the area. The Rock For Kids annual Rock & Roll Benefit Auction offers one-of-a-kind celebrity-signed memorabilia and unique experiential packages. Tickets are $50 through November 28th and $75 after November 28th. Ticket holders receive: admission to live and silent auction, champagne reception and buffet from 6pm-7pm, musical performance by Rock For Kids students, and late-night eats. Buy tickets or bid online before 12/2. The auction takes place tonight at the Park West located at 322 W. Armitage Ave.
