The Interview Show @ Hideout

Mark Bazer's Interview Show celebrates its fourth anniversary at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., tonight from 6:30pm to 8pm. The guests include WBEZ host Steve Edwards, DePaul sociologist Greg Scott, Soup & Bread cofounder Martha Bayne and musical guest Portable Models. Admission is $8. 21+

Chicago Restaurant Week Begins

This annual benefit for PAWS features food, drinks, a raffle for a trip to Vegas, and a pet-friendly atmosphere (finally, an event with some good conversation!). Event is at Galleria Marchetti, 825 W Erie, and starts at 7pm. Tickets starts at $125; bring Fido for an additional $25.

Chicago Dance Crash KTF battle @ Mayne Stage

Chicago Dance Crash are back with their popular dance battle series, KTF (Keeper of the Floor) which kicks off the restart of the series tonight at the Mayne Stage. Dancers battle it out onstage with every style covered, from break to ballet and even tap. The theme is Love is a (Dance) Battlefield, the music of the night dedicated to the down and out side of love. Tickets are ten dollars and can be purchased at the Mayne Stage site or at the venue. Doors open at 7pm, and the show starts at 8pm.

A History Lesson: A Celebration of Black History's Past, Present & Future @ Harold Washington Cultural Center

The Harold Washington Cultural Center, 4701 S. King Dr., presents Operation Safe Passage's "A History Lesson: A Celebration of Black History's Past, Present & Future," featuring skits, dance, and musical performances celebrating black history. Poetry Out Loud Finals @ the Poetry Foundation

Starting at 10am today, Chicago high school students who made it to the Regional Poetry Out Loud finals will compete for a chance to go all the way to the National finals in Washington DC in May. The event is free and is held at the Poetry Foundation (61 W Superior) and is open to the public, with standby tickets opening up an hour before the start time. Come support the students as they flex their mental memorization and recitation muscles!
