Chicago Underground Comedy Presents Adam Burke Unlimited
Local favorite Adam Burke performs an extended set of clever witticisms this Tuesday at the Beat Kitchen, thanks to the folks who run Chicago Underground Comedy. Think Tank Comedy also performs, and Chad Briggs hosts. 2100 W. Belmont, 9:30pm, free!
CAF Debate: "Beating the Odds"
Tonight at 6pm at the Chicago Theatre, 175 N. State St., the Chicago Architecture Foundation hosts a debate on the design of a potential Chicago casino that Senate Bill 744 would allow at its event Beating the Odds. Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and the former mayor of Milwaukee, John Norquist, join a panel of city political and design figures. The debate is open free to the public, but space is limited and registration is required.
TallGrass Writers Guild Open Mic @ The Bourgeois Pig
The TallGrass Writers Guild is hosting an open mic with Charlotte Hart tonight at 7:30pm at The Bourgeois Pig (738 W Fullerton, use the right-hand doorway). For $6 ($5 for students), you can captivate the audience with your poetry, fiction, non-fiction, etc.
IHOP National Pancake Day
IHOP celebrates National Pancake Day today by offering a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes. In return, the restaurant asks that you make a donation to the Children's Miracle Network.
