Randolph St., the AWP Conference presents Propaganda, an evening of readings by Matt Bell, Jessica Anya Blau, Blake Butler, Alexandra Chasin, Molly Gaudry, Amelia Gray, Lindsay Hunter, Jac Jemc, Stephen Knezovich, Samuel Ligon, Robert Lopez, Nelly Reifler, Joseph Salvatore, Jason Sommer, Matthew Vollmer and Jess Walter. Guerrilla Girls: Not Ready to Make Nice, a retrospective of artwork and activism by the Guerilla Girls collective, opens today at the A+D Gallery at Columbia College, 619 S. Wabash Ave., with a public reception from 5pm to 8pm. At 6pm, curator Neysa Page-Lieberman leads a Q&A with members of the Guerrilla Girls at the Conaway Art Center, 1104 S. Wabash Ave. Both events are free.
Come out to Uncommon Ground on Clark for the March installment of Story Club, focusing on the theme of "waiting." Tonight's lineup includes 4 open mic slots and 3 featured readers: TriQuarterly Online Managing Editor Amanda Morris; crafty lady Beth Cummings; and This American Life contributor Julianne Hill. Lula, Mana Food Bar, and Coco Pazzo are among the restaurants appearing at the Little City Junior Board's third annual Food Frenzy, which takes place tonight at Loft on Lake, 1366 W Lake. Food, drink, raffle prizes and a "Mystery Wine" contest are on the bill. Tickets $60-75.
