11 Jazzy Divas @ DuSable Museum

The DuSable Museum of African-American History, 740 E. 56th St., presents "11 Jazzy Divas," tonight from 7:30pm-10:30pm. This event, which celebrates Women's History Month and features 11 Chicago-based vocalists including Julia Huff, Joan Collaso and Maggie Brown, pays tribute to legendary African-American women in jazz. NEDtalks @ Hideout

NEDtalks: Spreading Worthless Ideas returns to the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., tonight at 6:30pm. Join hosts Kellen Alexander and Seth Dodson for completely pointless talks by Andrew Tisher, Jo Scott, Tim Paul, Drew Anderson and Ayala Skopp -- and one useful and informative talk by Fermilab Director Craig Hogan. The Sweet and Sour Poetry Hour @ Let Them Eat Chocolate

Chocolate and poetry--do we need to say any more? Tonight The Sweet and Sour Poetry Hour celebrates its third edition with an open mic (starting at 7pm) and special guest performances (starting at 7:30pm), including Kevin "Bam" Smith and D-Nick the Microphone Misfit, at Andersonville's Let Them Eat Chocolate. Bring some of your own poetry, stories, or monologues at 6:30pm to sign up for the 7 open mic slots. Or come at 7pm, buy some delicious chocolate, and settle in for some seriously sweet fun. The Tossers @ Metro

The Tossers, The Arrivals, Kevin Flynn & the Avondale Ramblers and We Are The Union play a St. Patrick's Day show at the Metro, 3730 N. Clark St., tonight. Tickets are $17 in advance, $19 at the door. Doors are at 8pm, show's at 9pm. 18+

Localicious @ Good Food Festival

The Localicious party at the Good Food Festival provides a fun opportunity to sample food and drink from more than 20 seasonally oriented restaurants and more than a dozen local breweries and distillers. Sunnyside Up provides the soundtrack. The event runs from 7pm to 9:30pm at the UIC Forum, Roosevelt Road and Halsted Street,. Tickets are $75.
