The Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., presents a return by the director of The Room, Tommy Wiseau, for a special screening of Wiseau's cult classic. For this screening Wiseau will also be joined by cast member Greg Sestero. The film will be screened tonight and tomorrow evening at 10:30pm; ticket are available in advance at the Music Box website or by calling the box office at 773-871-6604.
The 12th annual WhiskyFest, which offers every make and model of the devil's water, kicks off at the Hyatt Regency, 151 W Wacker, tonight from 6:30-9:30pm. Tastings, seminars, and food (to absorb the damage) are on the bill. Admission $155-205.
Columbia College's Story Week culminates with a reading of Chicago classics at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 220 E. Chicago Ave., from 6pm to 8pm tonight. Hosted by Rick Kogan, the evening will include readings by Audrey Niffenegger, Adam Levin, Elizabeth Berg, Kevin Coval and many more. Admission is free, but reservations are strongly recommended.
The Cornelia Arts Building, 1800 W. Cornelia Ave., hosts its annual spring open house tonight from 6pm to 10pm. Explore the work of more than 40 artists in a number of disciplines. Free.
Mark Bazer's Interview Show this month features actor Brian Dennehy, the Reader's Mick Dumke and musician Jennifer Hall. It's tonight from 6:30pm to 8pm at the Hideout, 1354 W.
