Kimya Dawson plays two shows today at the Old Town School of Folk Music (4544 N. Bike Tour of North Park
Big Shoulders Realty and Chicago Velo lead a bike tour of North Park today starting at 1pm at Peterson Park, 5801 N. Pulaski Rd. Learn about the neighborhood while enjoying a leisurely ride. Tickets are $9 online or $10 in person.
Maple Syrup Festival
From 10am to 3pm Saturday and today, the North Park Village Nature Center, 5801 N. Pulaski Rd., holds its annual Maple Syrup Festival. Watch the entire maple syrup-making process from tapping the tree to collect sap to boiling it down into syrup. Taste the final product, make maple-based crafts, and enjoy the Nature Center's grounds. Free.

Protest the Hero @ Bottom Lounge
Metalheads--and rock fans in general for that matter--shouldn't be anywhere but the Bottom Lounge tonight when Canadian powerhouse Protest the Hero bring their thunderous rhythms, noodley melodies and super-tight beats to the stage.
