The Moth StorySLAM @ Martyrs'
Martyrs plays host to this month's Moth StorySLAM, starting tonight at 8pm. Willing participants are picked from the audience to deliver a story on the evening's topic (tonight's topic: "Kiss of Death"). The winner is selected by a panel of judges and invited to return to the Moth's finals, happening later in the year. Martyrs: 3855 N. Lincoln Avenue. (773) 404-9494.
Gapers Block Crits
Half Acre Cycling hosts the third annual Gapers Block Crits March 26 through March 29 in Calumet Park (detailed location on the registration page). The first race starts at 6:10pm each day, with the last starting at 7:30pm. Online registration is closed; walk-up registration is $10 per day. And even if you're not riding, you can watch and cheer racers on for free!
The Birds @ Music Box
Turner Classic Movies brings its TCM Classic Film Festival to Chicago for a screening of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., tonight at 7:30pm. TCM's Ben Mankiewicz hosts, and star Tippi Hedron will be in attendance for a Q&A. Tickets are free, available starting March 13.
Rhyton, Turn To Crime @ The Burlington
