Artrageous on Clark Street

Artrageous is a day of art and food events showcasing businesses on or near Clark Street in Lincoln Park, sponsored by the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce. From 10am till 5pm, art events take place at 2532 N. Clark St. and food events take place at 2324 N. Clark St. All events are free. See the website for details.

Beast Women @ Greenhouse Theater

Beast Women, now in its fifth season, is a cabaret-style show that features some of the best female talent in Chicago. It runs Saturday nights at 10:30pm April 7-May 12 in the Greenhouse Theater Downstairs Main Stage, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. Tickets are $15, available online or at the box office.

Carolina Chocolate Drops @ Lincoln Hall

The Carolina Chocolate Drops, at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., tonight, with Po' Girl and Bhi Bhiman opening. Tickets are $20. Doors open at 9pm. 18+

Lucid Ground @ Abbey Pub

Flabby Hoffman presents Lucid Ground at the Abbey Pub, 3420 W. Grace St., tonight.
Arlum, Nu Bambu and the Vanarays open. Doors are at 8pm, show starts at 9pm. Tickets are $7 in advance, $10 at the door. 21+

The Late Live Show @Stage 773

Taking the classic talk show format and giving it with a contemporary sensibility, The Late Live Show has everything you'd see in a late night show. Previous runs have included guests like Danny Pudi from NBC's Community, Olympic gold medalist Shani Davis, and director of Hoop Dreams and The Interrupters, Steve James.

Shows are every Saturday for six weeks, beginning April 21 at Stage 773 (1225 West Belmont). Tickets are $5 and can be purchased here, or at the door.

Mortified Chicago @ Schubas

Chicago's chapter of the national, critically acclaimed live show, Mortified takes place this weekend. The show, which features everyday people reading the angst-riddled journals, diaries and letters of their youth, is at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 5th, at Schubas. The Damn Choir Record Release Show @ The Hideout

Hopefully the first single ("Noah") off The Damn Choir's sophomore release You're My Secret I Called Fire is an indication of what the rest of the album will bring. Any speculation will end this Friday, May 4 though when these Chicagoans play their record release show at The Hideout. Paper Thick Walls and Kingsley Flood kick off the night at 9pm. Tickets are $10.
