Chicago Protest Shorts '68/'03

Interested in seeing protestors fill the streets of Chicago but can't wait until NATO? Then check out a special screening of two short films that recount the protests surrounding the Democratic National Convention in 1968 and invasion of Iraq in 2003. Lincoln Fair: A Monthly Burlesque Expo @ Lincoln Tap

What's better than one free burlesque show on a Friday night? How about two free burlesque shows? Vaudezilla takes over The Lincoln Tap (3010 N Lincoln Avenue) tonight, Friday May 11th to perform two free shows at 9pm and 11pm. Hosted by Booty Garland, several starlets will be shimmying and shaking for your enjoyment including Jeez Loueez, Trixie Sparx, Po' Chop, and Anita Lilmore. Dating service Me So Far holds its second LGBTQ evening at the Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave., second floor, from 7pm to 11pm. Meet eligible singles through slideshow presentations about who they are. Tickets are $20.

Manual Labor Opening @ Post Family

The Post Family opens Manual Labor, a group show of art inspired by skilled trades, tonight from 7pm to 10pm, at The Post Family's gallery, The Family Room, 1821 W. Hubbard St., # 202. 2nd Fridays Gallery Night

During 2nd Fridays Gallery Night the galleries in Pilsen's Chicago Art District throw open their doors for an evening of free receptions.
