Summer Solstice Potluck @ Rancho Verde

Slow Food Chicago and Christy Webber Landscaping team up for a summer solstice potluck event at Webber's headquarters, aka Rancho Verde, at 2900 W Ferdinand tonight from 6-9pm. Bring a dish to share and enjoy the provided wine, cider, bread and salmon. Tickets $10-15 (kids under 12 free).

Summer Gratins @ Alliance Francaise

Learn how to make this French delicacy--vegetables, eggs, cheese, butter and breadcrumbs--today at Alliance Francaise (840 N Dearborn) with Chef Madelaine Bullwinkel. Event runs 10am-1pm; admission $85-95.

Randolph Street Market

The Randolph Street Market is this weekend, June 23-24 at Plumbers Hall, 1340 W. Washington St. Browse antiques from more than 200 dealers inside and outside the hall from 10am to 6pm today -- and this year there's also a vinyl record swap meet, gourmet food market and "global goods bazaar." Admission is $8 in advance online, $10 at the door ($3/$5 for students).

Oak Street's 1st Annual Summer Block Party

If the North Side can do it, so can the Gold Coast! Food, entertainment and shopping will be part of Oak Street's inaugural block party, which runs today from 11am-3pm on Oak Street between Michigan Avenue and State Street.

Green Music Festival

The Chicago Green Music Festival runs today and Sunday on Damen Avenue between North and Schiller avenues. Check out the eco-friendly vendor corral, enjoy craft beers and listen to some great live music on two stages. There's also a kids activity area. The gates open at noon. $5 suggested donation.

Low & Slow Fundraiser @ Chicago Urban Arts Society

Chicago Urban Arts Society, 600 W. Cermak Rd., hosts a one-day fundraiser today from noon to 6pm to benefit its second annual Lowrider Car & Bike Show (which happens Aug. 12). Check out some awesome cars and bikes while listening to Impala Sound Champions and the Southern Soul Spinners (Ruben Molina, Soulera 5150, Rene Ruelas and George Miller Jr.). Suggested donation $5.

Innvervation Dance Coop @ Prop Thtr

The Innervation Dance Cooperative performs Of One Mind, an original dance inspired by the life of Truddi Chase, a woman diagnosed with over 90 personalities as a result of years of abuse, at the Prop Thtr, 3502 N. Elston Ave., June 20-24. Tonight's performance is at 8pm, and tickets are $20 per person, or $15 for students and seniors.

Facets Night School: Wonder Women

Facets Cinematheque kicks off a summer session of Facets Night School, a series of midnight screenings paired with lectures and conversations about cult films. Tonight's film is the 1973 Filipino action flick Wonder Women, screened tonight in a rare 35mm print. Tonight's lecturer is Facets Night School Lew Ojeda, who will also be taping a live episode of the Cinematrocities podcast as part of the event. Facets Night School runs through August 25. Boobs and Goombas: A Super Mario Burlesque @ Gorilla Tango

The world's most adventurous plumbers will finally rescue the Princess and consummate years of amorous toil, or be seduced along the way by their alluring enemies in "Boobs and Goombas: a Super Mario Burlesque" at Gorilla Tango Theater, 1919 N. Milwaukee Ave. Don't forget to bring a few "coins" (or dollars) for tips... If the cast collects enough coins along the way, the audience will unlock the alternate ending! Saturdays at midnight.
