The Independent Spirits Expo is at Carmichael's Warehouse, 1052 W. Monroe St., tonight from 7 to 9:30pm, with a special VIP session starting at 5pm. Meet distillers, brand owners, importers of artisanal spirits from around the world, and sample more than 100 spirits. General admission is $55, VIP admission is $75. 21+
Dispatch returns to Chicago for their second North American tour since their nine-year hiatus. They will play the second of two shows at the Riviera Theatre, 4746 N. Racine Ave., though they were originally scheduled to play at the Aragon Ballroom. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. Tickets are $39. 17+.
Molly Lewis and The Doubleclicks bring their nerd-folk "Ladies of Ragnarok" tour to SPACE, 1425 Chicago Ave. in Evanston. Tickets are $15-25. Doors are at 8pm.

The Empty Bottle and The Wire present the annual Adventures in Modern Music festival, starting tonight at the Empty Bottle and running through October 7. This year's theme is "A Celebration of Outsider Sounds," so you can expect the greatest in unusual musicans. Among the scheduled artists: R.
