Creative unConference Chicago runs from 8:30am to 5pm today at Columbia College, 623 S. Wabash Ave. Join dozens of other creative people in talks and workshops of your own design. Registration is $150.

SOFA Chicago

The 19th annual SOFA Chicago exhibition of "Sculptural Objects and Functional Art and design" runs Nov. 1-4 in Festival Hall on Navy Pier, 600 E. Grand Ave. View (and purchase, if you've got the money) work by hundreds of arts represented by dozens of galleries from around the world. The show is open from 11am to 7pm today. Tickets are $15 online or at the door.

Fall French Market

The eighth annual Fall French Market runs Nov. 2-4 at Lycée Français de Chicago, 613 W. Bittersweet Pl. Browse arts, crafts and gourmet foods from around 100 vendors and enjoy French food and music. Tonight's opening party, from 7pm to 10pm, includes dinner by Vietnamese restaurant Hai Yen and a dance performance by the Vietnamese Student Association of UIC. Admission is $35 in advance, $45 at the door.

Chicago Dance Crash KTF @ Mayne Stage

Chicago Dance Crash holds its fifth annual "Keeper of the Floor" dance competition tonight at Mayne Stage, 1328 W. Morse Ave. The theme is "Kanye vs. Dylan" -- watch dancers go head to head in battles of styles, skill and grace, and see who wins the KTF belt. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. Tickets are $15 online or at the door.

Bicycle Film Festival

The Bicycle Film Festival rolls through town this weekend, Nov. 2-4. Tonight's films screen at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington St., with two shorts programs starting at 7pm and 9pm. Free.

Jess Godwin @ Double Door

Jess Godwin celebrates the release of her self-titled debut EP (review in Transmission) tonight at Double Door, 1572 N. Milwaukee Ave. Living In Pretend, Julian Bell, Funky Hot Grits and DJ Sgnik open. Tickets are $10. Doors are at 8pm. 21+

The Hood Internet @ Metro

The Hood Internet celebrates their album release FEAT tonight at the Metro. They'll be joined by My Gold Mask, Psalm One, Oscillator Bug, and BBU (who'll be giving their final performance!). Found Magazine @ Old Town School

Found Magazine is on a nationwide tour to celebrate its 10th anniversary and the release of found Davy Rothbart's book, My Heart is an Idiot, and tonight it stops at the Old Town School of Folk Music, 4544 N. Lincoln Ave., at 8pm. Tickets are $10.

Gilbert Gottfried @ Zanies

Comedian Gilbert Gottfried does a two-night stand at Zanies, 1548 N. Wells St., Thursday and tonight. Tickets to tonight's 8:30pm and 10:30pm sets are $25, with a two-drink minimum. 21+

Gozamos hosts its second annual Dia de los Muertos party tonight at the Chicago Urban Arts Society, 600 W. Cermak Rd., from 10pm to 2am tonight.
