The Music Box Theater is hosting a Bob Clark Christmas tonight starting at 5:30pm. There will be two showings of A Christmas Story followed by one showing of Black Christmas. Second City's annual Letters to Santa 24-hour marathon of improv and music begins tonight at 6pm in the Second City e.t.c. space, 1616 N. Wells St., and continues till 6pm tomorrow. Confirmed improvisers include Ryan Archibald, Fred Armisen, Emily Candini, Dina Facklis, Scott Goldstein, Shelly Gossman, TJ Jagodowski, Brendan Jennings, Michael Patrick O’Brien, Sam Richardson, Tim Robinson, Rich and Rebecca Sohn, Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde. Musical guests include Jeff Tweedy, Fred Schneider, Robbie Fulks, Kim Deal, JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound, Fred Armisen, Bonnie Prince Billie, Nate Silver, Glenn Hansard (skyping from Dublin) and Steve Albini, Jenny Gillespie and The Blisters. DryHop Brewers, a soon-to-be-opened gastro-brewpub in Lakeview will be hosting a tasting of their collaboration Black IPA at Northdown from 7pm to 9pm.
