Soup & Bread @ Hideout
Soup & Bread starts its 2013 season tonight at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave. This year each week has a theme, and this one is "green." Enjoy fresh soups from Swim Cafe, La Sirena Clandestina, Milk & Honey, Martha Bayne, Wendy Miller and possibly others from 5:30 to 8pm (or whenever the crock pots run out.) Bread supplied by Publican Quality Meats and Rae Hill. Donations accepted, and benefit Casa Catalina Food Pantry. 21+, but children admitted if accompanied by an adult.
Some Like It Hot @ Portage Theater
The Northwest Chicago Film Society screens a 35mm print of Some Like It Hot at the Portage Theater, 4050 N. Milwaukee Ave., tonight at 7:30pm. Tickets are $5.
