Adler Planetarium After Dark

The Adler Planetarium, 1300 S. Lake Shore Dr., presents their monthly Adler After Dark event tonight from 6pm to 10pm. An evening for adults that includes a rare chance to look through the planetarium's Doane Observatory telescope, the largest publicly accessible telescope in the Midwest. Peculiar Poetics @ Design Cloud

Design Cloud, 118 N. Peoria #2N, hosts Peculiar Poetics, an evening of poetry by Matthew Corey, Susan Hogan, Paul Luikart, Ira S. Murfin, Jason Noah and Mylo Reyes. The show runs from 6:30 to 8:30pm. $5 suggested donation.

Cleetus Friedman/Dark Horse Release @ Fountainhead

Dark Horse Brewery and Cleetus Friedman release their collaboration beer, I'll Have More Stout, tonight at Fountainhead, 1970 W. Montrose Ave., at 7pm. Many of Friedman's other collaborations will be on tap, including Haymarket Brewery's Rosemary's Red Devil, Two Brothers Testudo, Dark Horse Sasparilla Six, and Vander Mill Sweet 73. Printers Row: Jamaica Kincaid

After a 10-year hiatus, Caribbean author Jamaica Kincaid, most known for "At the Bottom of the River," is returning to the literary scene with her most current release "See Now Then" and making a stop at Printers Row (435 N Michigan Ave) tonight to speak with Pulitzer Prize-winning Tribune columnist Mary Schmich. Dunn Dunn Fest @ Schubas

Dunn Dunn Fest runs Feb. 20-22 at three different venues, each featuring an excellent lineup of Americana, roots and aligned genres. Tonight's show is at Schubas, 3159 N. Southport Ave., featuring Frontier Ruckus and Grandkids. Doors open at 8pm. Tickets are $10, or get a three-day festival pass for $25. 18+

Bondage-A-Go-Go Benefit @ Exit

Bondage-A-Go-Go, the Thursday night fetish party at Exit, 1315 W. North Ave., this week raises money for Maya Sinstress, a burlesque performer and fetish model who was recently attacked by a dog. From 10pm till 4am close, there will be a variety of performances, a raffle, and great music and drink specials. Hosted by Ken Melvoin-Berg, with DJ Lolly spinning. Full details on Facebook.
