It's sold out, but if you know someone who is going, consider stealing their ticket for Poutine Fest, a celebration of all things covered in gravy, which runs from noon-2pm or 4-6pm today at Haymarket Pub, 737 W. Randolph. Chefs from places such as Boarding House, the Gage, Scofflaw and Publican will fight for the title of "King of Poutine." Tickets $50.
The Gene Siskel Film Center, 164 N. State St., hosts "Oscar Experience: Chicago," the only Academy-sanctioned Oscar party in the city, tonight from 6pm to midnight. Walk down the red carpet hosted by Amanda Puck, enjoy a delicious dinner by Pure Kitchen and cocktails by William Grant & Sons, and watch the High-Definition telecast of the 85th Academy Awards on two HD screens. Tickets are $100 or $200 for VIP.
Caitlin Bergh presents her one woman show, Chunks, at Studio Be (3110 N. Sheffield Ave.). In a series of funny stories, Bergh weaves a weird and disgusting tale of coming out as a sexually-repressed and obsessive college student. Show starts at 7:30pm, doors at 7pm. Tickets are $7 at the door or online.
