Seventeen years after its release, Ash's breakthrough 1977 album remains a fresh and intriguing listen. Its influences from punk, power-pop and grunge (hey, it was 1996) melted together in a way that'd set the tone for their career. Free All Angels and Meltdown didn't show any slowing down from the Northern Ireland trio. Their aggressive sound works perfectly into their fervid live shows. Ash headlines Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave. The show's $20, 21+, and doors open at 8pm.
