No Dessert Left Behind @ Little Goat

:Many of the city's best places (among them Avec, Katherine Anne Confections, and Big Jones) will be selling their sweet treats in the name of ending hunger at today's No Dessert Left Behind, which runs 10am-3pm at Little Goat, 820 W. Randolph. Proceeds go to Share Our Strength.

Printers Row Lit Fest

Today is the Printers Row Lit Fest, the Midwest's largest outdoor literary festival, at Dearborn from Chicago to Polk (click here for map). This year's highlights include the World's Best Short Story workshop with 826CHI, a cooking demonstration with Oprah's former chef Art Smith, Nathan Rabin reading from You Don't Know Me But You Don't Like Me, and YA fiction superstar Judy Blume. The festival opens at 10am; see the schedule for complete list of events.

Chicago Blues Festival

Blues Fest is back in Grant Park for its 30th year in Chicago. Watch blues legends, including Otis Clay, perform on five stages on the final day of the popular fest. Event runs from 11am-9:30pm. Free admission.

Bellwether @ Hideout

Bellwether, a new "market, happening & feast" from the creators of the Renegade Craft Fair and Vintage Bazaar, runs Saturday and today in and outside the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., from noon to dark (aka 8pm). Shop for local art and crafts, enjoy live music and peruse food trucks throughout the day; schedule here. Suggested donation $10 admission; kids under 12 are free. There's also a beer brunch at Ada Street, 1664 N. Ada St., from 11am to 2pm; tickets are $50.

Ray Bradbury Festival @ Straw Dog Theatre

Tonight, Strawdog Theater (3829 N. Broadway St.) celebrates the work of that late, great Waukegan native at the Ray Bradbury Festival. Events include panel discussions, live performances of Fahrenheit 451, live performances of The Ray Bradbury Radio Hour, and an artists gallery of Bradbury inspired work. Produced by OtherWorld Theatre Company, all events are free with suggested $5 donation. Click here for schedule of events.

Chicago Women's Funny Festival

Chicago's second annual Women's Funny Festival, June 6-9, is honoring female comedians with a four-day event that features Chicago's own Alexandra Tsarpalas, Second City faculty member Angie McMahon and other comics from around the nation. Shows start tonight at 2pm at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. Tickets are $15 and one-day passes are $35.

Comfort Food Potluck @ Comfort Station

Do you have a favorite dish that reminds you of home? Make it as you remember it (no modern renovations, no foo-fooing it up) and bring it to this inventive potluck for sharing and discussing food with your fellow nostalgians. Event runs 4-6pm at the Comfort Station (Logan and Milwaukee). RSVP required. Plates and cutlery will be provided. Donations to support the event and Comfort Station are requested.

The Black Cinema Is... The Monkey Hustle

Humor and Rumors @ Grand Ballroom

The Grand Ballroom, 6351 S. Cottage Grove, presents "Humor and Rumors," featuring comedian Meechie Hall, tonight from 7pm-11pm. Tickets are $10 and can be reserved at 773-497-1711.

Peter Tork @Old Town School of Folk Music

Hey hey, it's a Monkee! The Old Town School of Folk Music hosts an evening concert by musician Peter Tork, with an opening act consisting of the Monkees Ensemble band from the school, along with dancers from the Psychedelic Go-Go class. The show starts at 7:00pm at the school's main concert hall (at 4544 N. Lincoln). Tickets are $30 and may be purchased from the school's Website, or call the box office at (773) 728-6000.

That's All She Wrote @ Swim Cafe

The live lit series That's All She Wrote, co-hosted by GB contributor JH Palmer and Angela Benander, returns to Swim Cafe, 1357 W. Chicago Ave., with an all-lady lineup for the second installment of Ladies Night. In addition to stories from the co-hosts, guest readers include: Carly Oishi, Fallon Masterson, Samantha Irby, and Katie Prout. Doors open at 7:30pm, show starts at 8pm. This is a free event, and is BYOB.

Chasing the Hype @ Den Theater

Sketch comedy virtuosos Think Tank take their brand of hockey-blade sharp humor, silly satire and bizarre scenarios to The Den Theater, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave., for Chasing The Hype, Sundays in June until the 23rd. Chasing The Hype ribs America's up-to-the-nano-second affinity for news and information, no matter how inaccurate or under-reported it may be. Tickets are $10 (plus small service fee) and are available online or at the door, which opens at 7:30pm. Here's Think Tank's latest video.
