D.A.S. Preview @ Table, Donkey and Stick
D.A.S. (who will be providing the food for The Radler, which is slated to open soon), previews their skills in a collaboration with Table, Donkey and Stick (2728 W. Armitage) tonight in an eight-course meal of carpaccio, chicken, and goat. Cost $75.
Corruption Is Not Funny
The Better Government Association Young Professionals Board presents the second annual Corruption Is Not Funny tonight at 6:30pm at UP Comedy Club, 230 W. North Ave. The show features some of the best of Second City's political sketch comedy, and benefits the BGA. Tickets are $65.
That's Weird, Grandma
Barrel of Monkeys is an ensemble of actors/educators who hold creative writing workshops with Chicago Public School students and perform their pupils' imaginative stories. The result is That's Weird, Grandma, their weekly show presented every Monday at the Neofuturarium in Andersonville. The show is wackily witty, fast-paced, laugh-a-minute, and truly a thrill for all ages, and has been hailed by chicagotheater.com as "part pep rally, part musical theater extravaganza - and one of the most real, uplifting and engaging theatrical experiences in town." $10 for adults, $5 for children, tickets available at the box office or on the BOM website.
