The 29th annual Newberry Book Fair runs July 25-28 at the Newberry Library, 60 W. Walton St. Browse through more than 120,000 used books for sale, most under $2. The fair is open from 10am to 6pm today. Admission is free.
Wicker Park Fest fills the streets on Milwaukee Avenue from North to Paulina today and Sunday from noon to 10pm each day. Catch dozens of bands on three stages, enjoy tasty food from local vendors and shop local businesses. $5 suggested donation.

The Mayne Stage presents the family-friendly show by Chicago Kids Company, The Princess Show. The 50-minute program features Cinderella, Snow White, and Rapunzel as the princesses, and includes audience participation and sing-alongs. Revolutionary Health Care, the annual board fundraiser for Chicago Women's Health Center, features unlimited Revolutionary Brewery beer and appetizers, as well as live music, raffles, and, yes, an arm-wrestling contest. The Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., presents a special screening of the Wim Wenders classic Wings of Desire tonight at 6pm. A Q&A with Sara Hall, associate professor of Germanic Studies at UIC, and Lorraine Groleau Darrow, director and screenwriting faculty at DePaul University, follows the film. Tickets are $10 online or at the box office.
