Veggie Bingo @ Hideout
All the cool kids will be at the Hideout (1354 W. Wabansia) tonight for Veggie Bingo, a summerlong series brought to you by the good folks at Soup and Bread and NeighborSpace. Play the game, enjoy a grilled hot dog donated by Hot Doug's, donate money to help sustain a local community garden, and win food-related prizes (fresh produce from Irv and Shelly's, among others). Me So Far presents Workaholics at its latest singles event, tonight from 6:45 to 9:30pm in the upstairs lounge at Sushi Taiyo, 85 E. Ontario Ave. See 20 overworked single men and women -- including lineup includes two startup founders, an ICU nurse, an aspiring television producer and an organ transplant coordinator -- present a slideshow about themselves, then mingle over appetizers and a cash bar afterward. The Smith Westerns play a Lollapalooza aftershow at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., tonight, with Wampire opening. Doors are at 8pm. Tickets are $20 online or at the door, but I wouldn't bet on there being any left. 18+
