The Third Coast International Audio Festival presents its latest in its Listening Room series, "Who Killed Lolita?", tonight at 6:30pm at the Alliance Française, 54 W. Chicago Ave. Paris-based ARTE Radio cofounder Silvain Gire and reporter Mehdi Ahoudig will be present to discuss Ahoudig's audio documentary about the death of an immigrant woman and her two children in Marseille, France. The program will be played in French, with English transcripts provided. Admission is $10 and includes a glass of wine.
More than 30 storytellers have come together for this three-week Festival of Storytelling at the Side Project Theatre (1439 W. Jarvis Ave.) First-time and experienced tellers will weave together stories of connecting, or not, with strangers. This week's headlining teller is Kim Morris. The festival runs Sundays through Wednesdays through November 6. Show begins at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15.
Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., welcomes the legendary electronic duo Sparks for a pair of concerts tonight and Thursday. Tickets are $30 online or at the door, which opens at 8pm. 18+
